Under the Maps section: It shows the presumed route westward of David and Rosa after the birth of Milt in 1912. In 1913, David has been recorded at Grant County’s courthouse. See also the essay in the FAQ section.

Dedicated to Milton Maidenberg and Amnon Maidenberg, first cousins from different worlds who kept memory alive.

Special thanks to Fima, Yefim Rozenberg, who in his memoir preserves an extraordinary record of his life and times during World War II and years afterward in the former Soviet Union.
Solomon and Perel had seven children…

Malkeh, Goldeh, David, Joseph, Elkeh, Esther and Malieh. Of the seven, two came to America: David in 1906 and Esther in 1926, via Canada. In 1989 and 1991, descendants of Malkeh and Malieh arrived. This website traces each of the seven descendant lines: in America, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia and Israel; it adds historical context; raises questions; evokes mysteries; mourns tragic deaths and celebrates successful lives.

To all visitors: help keep the Maidenberg Family website alive by using it, critiquing it, asking questions and offering information. Let it be a legacy to the sixth generation–and beyond.
